You can Expect More Personalization in ChatGPT Soon: Director Sam Altman

A recent Reuters article claims that OpenAI is working on expanding the level of personalization available to users of its ChatGPT chatbot.

The developer of ChatGPT plans to distribute tools that will give businesses and individuals greater agency over the widely adopted AI system.

Executive Director of OpenAI Sam Altman said (1) the services should also improve the models for both broad and narrow applications.

At a Morgan Stanley investor conference, Altman mentioned that OpenAI would create a marketplace to offer application programming interfaces (APIs) to other parties.

OpenAI said a month ago that it had created a chatbot update that users may tweak to solve bias issues in AI. During that period, Altman elaborated:

We’ll release more features allowing users to alter the system’s behavior soon.

OpenAI is coordinating with business customers to train its models in certain areas as part of its user-customization efforts. It has been reported that the Microsoft-backed firm has helped lessen the paranoia associated with AI. When a sentient computer system has an AI hallucination, it secretly gives the wrong answer to a question based on the available data.

Details on the OpenAI Tuning Framework

Altman disclosed an international services relationship between OpenAI and Bain & Company, a management consulting business. The partnership would allow Bain to incorporate AI into its client services.

In other applications, businesses collaborating with OpenAI may utilize their data to produce a copy of the model, easing worries about data loss.

As an example, Coca-Cola is collaborating with OpenAI and Bain to roll out the ChatGPT and DALL-E platforms. Through AI techniques, Coca-Cola hopes to develop individualized ad language, visuals, and messaging.

Altman argued that investors should value OpenAI because it has the potential to advance the cause of generic artificial intelligence.

The seasoned businessman and investor proposed giving investors a larger say in the operation of the AI platform.

Altman acknowledged that OpenAI’s San Francisco-based AI system was not capable of perfect accuracy, despite the company’s lofty goals. The OpenAI CEO did add, though, that he expects to see AI-based medical and legal apps appearing on people’s smartphones soon.

Since its release in November, ChatGPT has seen more than 1 billion visitors. The chatbot will have 616 million visits in the new year.

ChatGPT Plus Details

As a result of the popularity of CharGPT, OpenAI introduced a trial subscription service in early February dubbed ChatGPT Plus. ChatGPT Plus costs $20 per month and increases users’ reliability and speed.

A tweet from OpenAI on February 1 read:

During our trials, we found that ChatGPT Plus, a paid service with improved responsiveness and dependability during peak times, was the best option for our users. Plus, ChatGPT’s free plan is still an option.

To add to what OpenAI mentioned:

We appreciate our free users so much that we won’t ever charge for access to ChatGPT. As a result of this subscription cost, we can contribute to making universally free access a reality.

The company has stated that ChatGPT Plus is now only available to its US-based users but plans to expand to additional countries soon.
