RTFKT and Nike Announced Real NFT Nike Air Force 1 Sneakers

The NFT Nike Air Force 1 Sneakers, which were designed in conjunction with the digital art design company RTFKT, is now making its way into the actual world, courtesy of Nike Inc. The conception of the NFT was undertaken by the American shoe giant and the design firm, with the assistance of the Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.

Nike and RTFKT are planning to distribute the digital Air Force 1 footwear in its physical looks after an NFT production has been completed.

RTFKT and Nike made the important announcement via the official Twitter account (1) of the studio, where it was also mentioned that the actual goods would be able to be bought. On the webpage that showcases the footwear, there is a notice that reads:

“RTFKT and Nike’s Air Force 1 series features limited edition designs by Tashi Murakami. Walk into the future with this collection. Acquire the NFT so that you can purchase the actual sneakers on 4.24.23.”

About Nike and RTFKT’s Physical NFT Air Force 1 Sneaker

On the official site of RTFKT, the event will take place between the 24th of April and the 8th of May between this year. During the course of a normal Forging event, holders of qualified NFTs have the opportunity to trade in their ownership for limited quantities of made-to-order tangible objects.

According to what is stated in the message, the actual Nike footwear can only be purchased by individuals who already possess an item from the NFT Air Force 1 collection produced by RTFKT.

To be more specific, people with an interest in real-life products will need to purchase NFTs in the hue of their choice.

In addition to covering the cost of the gas, the tokens can be exchanged for brand-new footwear after the player has selected one of the ten possible colors. The fourth quarter of this year is when Nike and RTFKT want to hand the actual Air Force 1 across to the respective owners.

In addition, there is a possibility for individuals who do not currently possess any digital collectibles but would still like to participate in the Forging event.

They are required to buy the NFTs that are part of the Pre-Forging event collection, which can be found on OpenSea and various other secondary markets right now. The designer and the manufacturer broke down the expenses associated with taking part in the event as follows:

The RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1 digital artifact is currently coined at a price; as a result, holders will just be required to pay gas fees for the trades that occur during the Forging event.

On the other hand, if you do not already possess a digital collectible from the OpenSea Pre-Forge collection that was discussed before, you will be required to purchase a pair of OpenSea or another secondary marketplace item in order to be eligible for the Forging event.

According to the information provided on the website, the 10 iterations of the RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1 that are now available are as follows: Genesis, Murakami Drip, Human, Robot, Demon, Angel, Reptile, Undead, and Alien.

In addition to this, the new sneakers are precursors of the primary NFT collection known as CloneX. CloneX was introduced on the market in 2021 by a Japanese artist and a design study, and since then, there has been a significant amount of interest in the product.
