Republic Crypto is launching a $100 million fund in partnership with Re7 Capital

Re7 Capital, a venture capital (VC) firm, has partnered with web3 consulting and Republic Crypto, a firm that specializes in crypto infrastructure, to develop a $100 million investment for liquid coins.

One of the initial efforts of the 2022 major tie-up between the two companies is establishing the fund, which has been given the name RxR Opportunities Fund.

According to The Block, the fund will provide eligible investors with access to a restricted number of carefully selected cryptocurrency tokens, with a particular emphasis on tokens that have market valuations that fall somewhere in the middle. (1)

Evgeny Gokhberg, the creator of Re7 Capital, has issued a statement addressing the fund. He admits that the fund will target lesser-known cryptocurrency names.

Despite this, he is adamant that it will not entail anything speculative, such as meme coins, and he says so again.

Although Gokhberg has confirmed that the fund is already receiving commitments from people in a variety of locations, he has refrained from disclosing the actual sum that has been collected up to this point.

When it comes to liquidity, the RxR Opportunities Fund has a lock-up period of one year, following which it can be unlocked once every three months.

According to Gokhberg, approximately fifteen percent of it would be devoted to private trades like over-the-counter (OTC) transactions.

The new fund offered by Re7 Capital gives its customers a choice between three distinct investment vehicles. In 2021, the company, with its headquarters in the Cayman Islands, introduced the world to its market-free DeFi yield fund.

Also, in February, it introduced a fund that is centered on Ether. As a result, the RxR fund now provides its customers with an additional choice.

The Rise of Re7 Capital Is an Indication of the Expansion of Venture Capital

In the meantime, it is impossible to place enough emphasis on the remarkable expansion of the venture capital industry in recent years.

Historically speaking, venture capitalists have been and continue to be the primary channel via which institutional investors access cryptocurrency, albeit on a massive scale.

Nonetheless, it would appear that there are more liquid options for them to participate in the market as of late. In contrast to the past, investors can now stake, take advantage of yield opportunities, and gain access to liquid tokens. The final portion is precisely what Re7 and Republic aim to accomplish with their new fund, so keep an eye out for that.

Re7 brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the collaboration, having previously managed a profitable cryptocurrency hedge fund.
